BabyLove Joins Mum Walk to Support Mums in the Moments That Matter

BabyLove x Mum Walk: Love a little shared motherhood moment

BlogArticle

Early motherhood is full of little moments; the quiet ones, the messy ones, and the beautiful ones in between. But for many new mums, it can also be an incredibly lonely time.

That’s why BabyLove has partnered with Mum Walk. A mum‑led organisation on a mission to make sure #NoMumWalksAlone. Together, we’re here to support mums through connection, community and the small moments that can make a big difference.

Why connection matters in early motherhood

Motherhood doesn’t always feel the way it’s meant to. Even with plenty of love around, those early months can still feel surprisingly lonely.

Over 90% of mums report feeling lonely after birth, and 1 in 5 will experience postnatal depression or anxiety. Mum Walk was created to help change that. Their mission is simple: To reduce the isolation many mums feel and create meaningful connections with other mums in the real world.

Research show that group pram‑walking programs significantly reduces symptoms of postnatal depression, with greater benefits than social support alone (Armstrong & Edwards, 2004).

Through welcoming local walks, Mum Walk brings mums together face to face. These walks offer fresh air, honest conversation and supportive connection with people who truly understand. There is no pressure and no judgement. Just genuine support, right when it’s needed most.

Why BabyLove partnered with Mum Walk

At BabyLove, we’ve spent over 20 years supporting parents through everyday life with babies. And throughout that time, one thing has always stayed the same: we care about the little things, because we know those little details can make parenthood feel easier.

Partnering with Mum Walk felt like a natural extension of what BabyLove have always believed. Supporting parents means more than nappies. It means showing up, caring about the little things, and supporting mums as whole people.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrated our partnership with Mum Walk by hosting a local walk, with a dedicated changing corner stocked with BabyLove nappies and goodie bags for Mum Walk regulars.

What is Mum Walk?

Mum Walk is here to change the way Aussie mums walk through motherhood. The mum-led movement is on a mission to make sure no mum walks through motherhood alone.

Mum Walk was born from one lonely mum’s call out for local connections and has grown into a national movement of over 50 Mum Walks across Australia.

The organisation now offers free weekly walks and stay-and-plays for mums to find their people, move their bodies and feel good. Supporting mums to find, join or start a pram walking group, making finding local connections and community easier than ever!

Who is Mum Walk for?

Mum Walk is for any mum who is looking for local connections. We’re here to make sure no one walks alone in early parenthood. Attendees  are often:

  • Mums who missed out on first-time mum groups (e.g newly moved to area)
  • Mums with multiple kids and their original mum group are back at work
  • Migrants and expats who couldn’t join mother’s groups and are most at need of a community
  • Mums who have struggled to prioritise fitness post-partum and are encouraged by the gentle approach to exercise
  • Migrants and expats who couldn’t join mothers groups and are most at need of community
  • Mums whose mothers’ groups just didn’t gel or initiate consistent meet-ups

Here for mums, every step of the way

As the official nappy partner of Mum Walk, BabyLove is proud to walk alongside The Memo and Medibank to support an initiative that reminds mums they don’t have to do this alone.

Together, we’re making Mum Walk possible to make it easier for mums to find those small but powerful moments; connection, fresh air and shared understanding that can quietly make everything feel a little lighter.

Because when love is shown through the little things, it can make a big difference.
