Brand ambassador Oceana Hegyi on why she loves Beyond

As parents, hundreds of little decisions need to be made daily. One decision that we’re hoping to make more accessible is the decision to use Beyond by BabyLove nappies. The Beyond range is our premium, eco-nappy range that is Better for Baby. Better for the Planet. But don’t take our word for it— we were able to sit down with Oceana Hegyi, a new mum, model, wellness lover and influencer, to chat about why she chose the Beyond range to use for baby Levi.
Oceana has widely spoken about her passion for living well and how this extends to the products she and her family use. With nappies crafted from super soft organic cotton and a rich blend of jojoba, rice and olive oils, Oceana knew Levi would be comfortable and protected from irritation and inflammation. A considerable part of Oceana’s decision to use Beyond was because of the low environmental impact that these nappies have, as opposed to other disposable nappies. Oceana admits that when it comes to living a sustainable lifestyle, it’s accepting that sometimes there needs to be a balance between convenience and sustainability. That’s why Oceana loves Beyond nappies— ‘it’s having the convenience of a disposable nappy, with the eco-friendly ethics’, says Oceana.
When little Levi came home, Oceana discovered that every day was different, and that feeling of ‘hey, we’re becoming parents’ started to sink in after a few days. She may not remember what having more than 4 hours of sleep in one block feels like, but both Oceana and her partner, Conor work together to ensure that they can both fill up their cup and be the best parents they can be for Levi.
Another way to ensure Oceana and Conor can maximise their time with Levi (and work off minimal sleep) was to be as prepared as possible before Levi came home. This meant stocking up on Beyond nappies, water wipes, onesies, singlets and having a great playlist of white noise! Having tab nappies in multiple sizes meant that Levi always had stock as he grew, and the handy 3-line wetness indicator alerts told that sometimes all that was needed was a peek through a onesie alerted for a change. No guesswork is required here!
‘Natural instinct will kick right in,’ says Oceana. ‘I’m making sure that we get some fresh air daily— and I’m lucky that Levi loves both the carrier and his pram, so we have no excuse not to get out the house— even if it’s a stroll around the block some days’. So while the routine may sometimes look like ‘eat, sleep, change nappy and repeat’, Oceana, Conor and Levi are a deliriously happy little family.
